Tewana’s Café springs from humble beginnings when I was 15  at  The Big Chief in Glencoe, AL  which produced Tewana & Co. physically located on Old South Fourth Street as is Tewana’s current café.

The menu at Tewana’s Café includes items proven to be favorites among her customers to include delicious gourmet salads and specialty hot & cold sandwiches. Tewana’s made from scratch deserts, you’ll be smitten for sure.  Consider this fair warning as the infamous Chicken Salad, Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwich, Alabama Mudd  is among the best ever tasted.

Tewana herself comes from a large family of five sisters.  As young as 4-years old, Tewana could be found helping in the kitchen to prepare the family meals.  It’s this type of special training experience over the years that inhabited Tewana’s desire to create delicious sweets and entrée items used for over 30-years.  Voted as Etowah County’s #1 caterer in 2005, featured in Southern Living Magazine in 2003, Winning 3rd place at the Atlanta mart for “Best New Idea’s” with her beautiful & unique “Chocolates on my Pillow” gourmet gift ideas as well as recognition for excellence in recipes for both deserts and entrée menu items.
